The Sport Medicine Centre has been at the hub of evidence-based research and clinical practice since becoming established in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary during the 1988 Winter Olympic Games.
Sport Medicine Services
The UCalgary Sport Medicine Centre provides integrated care for elite and recreational athletes on campus and in the community. Our multidisciplinary team of health professionals can assist you with a wide range of issues ranging from new to old injuries, nutrition advice, surgical consultations.
Speciality Clinics
The UCalgary Sport Medicine Centre has developed several speciality clinics that include the Acute Knee Injury Clinic, the Acute Sport Concussion Clinic and the Knee Osteoarthritis Clinic. These clinics were developed to help patients with specific injuries to access timely and appropriate care.
Research
The UCalgary Sport Medicine Centre has conducted and been in involved in research projects both in the past and present. These research projects have been crucial to the development of the speciality clinics and to improving clinic practices for patient care.
