Physiotherapists can help you restore, maintain and maximize your strength, function, movement and well-being. They have specialized skills to assess, diagnose and treat symptoms of illness, injury and disability.
Our registered massage therapists (RMTs) work as part of an interdisciplinary health care team. This benefits our clients, as our therapists have access to sport medicine physicians, physiotherapists, athletic therapists and more.
Athletic therapists provide quick-thinking, on-field, emergency care for elite and developing athletes. It is that mix of on-site care and in-clinic rehabilitation skills that make athletic therapists effective in treating injuries.
Our orthopedic surgeons treat many musculoskeletal conditions without surgery. They use medications, injections, exercise and other rehabilitative therapies. They may recommend surgery if the patient does not respond to other treatments.
Sport & exercise medicine physicians promote lifelong wellness and fitness. They have special training and skills to care for active patients of all ages. All of the U of C SMC sport & exercise medicine physicians have additional fellowship or residency training in sport & exercise medicine.
Our dietitians create a customized dietary plan to help you meet and maintain your dietary goals. You will receive helpful information, educational materials, support and follow-up to help make sure you succeed.
